CLOSING OF SCHOOLS 2016-17 !!!

We made it!  Another successful year at the Gardens is in the books.  Please read below for information about the NJHS breakfast for all 7th and 8th grade as well as information about community service hours for our new members:

1. On Thursday, June 8, at 8:45 am please report to the media center stairs for our annual last day of school breakfast.  As by our tradition, 8th grade students will be served breakfast by the 7th grade NJHS students.  (Yes 7th graders will get to eat, too.)  This is a free activity for all NJHS members. After breakfast, we will have our balloon releasing ceremony and then enjoy the HGMS carnival for the rest of the day.

2. Here is the link to access the community service form log.  Print out as many copies as you need and use it to record all of your service activities throughout the summer and through next school year.

You may volunteer at our school or other schools in the county, nursing homes, doctor offices or clinics, child care centers, churches, public park programs, or libraries.  Any other locations must be approved by me.

3.  If you can volunteer to come in on Friday, June 9 (it is a teacher planning day) from 9am - 12 noon, please confirm with your parents and let me know as soon as possible.  You will be assigned a teacher to work with during those hours helping him/her clean, move, and get the classroom ready for the summer.

4.  There may be a possibility for select students to work in our school office throughout the summer. You will be answering phones, filing, and working with parents.  If you are available for consideration, please check with your parents and verify the days and times you can be here. Let me know as quickly as possible.  If you are selected, I will confirm with you before the end of the school year.

5.  If your cell phone number ever changes, please notify me so that you won't miss out on NJHS announcements.

Good luck 8th graders!!!  Make us proud as you begin your journey into high school.

GO JAGUARS.
