Many students have been asking about opportunities to earn service hours.  If donating your time is not an option because of other commitments you may have, credit for hours can also be earned by participating in collection drives we offer at school.  The Paws2Care drive is going on now and they are looking for donations for pets in need of care.  Please click on the link below to open up the flyer for more information.  It also lists the supplies that are needed.  You may donate as many items as you want -- two service hours will be given per item you bring in to Ms. Rylands.  If you have any questions, stop by room 5102.

Announcements before we leave for summer vacation:

Eighth Grade:

The NJHS end of year breakfast is this Thursday at 8:45 am in the media center. You do not have to wear the club tshirt and you will still be able to participate in the school carnival.  Please be on time for our final gathering of the school year.

Seventh Grade:

  • If you do not receive a text message from me by tomorrow night, please stop by and verify that I have your correct cell phone number.  You don't want to miss any important information that may come up during the break.  If at any time you change your number, please make sure you notify me.

  • During the summer, there are opportunities to begin working on community service right at our school. If you can help out in the office a few days a week, a few hours a week, or all week.....whatever you can do.......please check with your parents and let me know by Friday so that I can work on the schedule.

  • Our end of the year breakfast is this Thursday at 8:45 am in the media center.  You will be serving breakfast to the 8th grade NJHS members -- it is your right of passage.  LOL.  Yes you will be eating breakfast, too.  Look on the bright side, next school you will be served by the new 7th graders.
